Richard Hancock and Traci Kelly have been making work across the UK, Europe and Australia, including a performance of Iconographia as part of the Bodily Functions festival in Cork, Ireland, Gilding the Lily as part of Ron Athey and Lee Adams' Re-visions of Excess at Fierce!, Birmingham, UK, the premiere of the fifth in the ongoing series of solo pieces, Richard Hancock's Open Wound, Pt 2: The Gag Refelx at Performance Space in Sydney, Australia, aswell as a recent residency at Critical Path. Richard Hancock and Traci Kelly will be leading an exciting new workshop project I thought you'd never come... from March 17-23, 2008, at Felix Ruckert's Schwelle7 in Berlin, Germany. | mar 07 hancock & kelly live will be performing Tattoo as part of SPILL at Shunt Vaults in London on Apil 8 and 9, 2007. The performance is Hancock and Kelly's ritual attempts to embody the memories of others. Each year, the programme will bring one artist from outside of the UK, to Nottingham for a 2 week research period. May 2007 will see the arrival of Megan Palaima. More details to follow. | aug 06 hancock & kelly live has been invited to perform Dermographia at the National Review of Live Art, Glasgow, in February 2007. Richard Hancock will be participating in the Enqueering research lab as part of Inbreeding, organised by La Mekanica and EIRA, in Barcelona in September 2006. Richard Hancock, Traci Kelly, and Veenus Vortex are currently collaborating on a new performance project, 63 minutes, to premiere in Autumn 2007. |

| jul 06 hancock & kelly live will be hosting a residency at Dance 4 with the Australia-based choreographer, Martin del Amo, in October 2006. The residency is part of a collaboration with Creative Lab in Sydney. This exchange will see Richard Hancock and Traci Kelly undertake a Critical Paths residency in Australia in 2007. The company will be showing work as part of the Excess exhibition at Angel Row Gallery, Nottingham,in December 2006. The show will include new sculptural work, investigating marking, memory, class and cultural identifications. The show will also include a series of performance research events around tattooing, titled In the Parlour, exploring memory and the marked body. Richard Hancock and Traci Kelly will be taking part in Robert Pacitti's London festival of performance and cutting edge practice, SpillI, in April 2007. More details to follow. |

| apr 06 hancock & kelly live will be exhibitingUntitled Collaboration at the Greenroom, Manchester, throughout November 2006. This will be the first showing of the entire series of photographic images made in collaboration with Manuel Vason in 2004. The company will also be premiering two new durational performance works at the Greenroom on November 24th, 2006. Details to be announced later in the year. Richard Hancock and Traci Kelly will be rejoining Guillermo Gomez Pena's international performance troupe, la Pocha Nostra, for a performance in August 2006, in Oaxaca, Mexico. Quicktime footage of Richard Hancock's solo performance installation, Dermographia, is now available online on the current work section of this site. hancock & kelly live will be leading a workshop project, culminating in a site-specific performance, as part of Jennie Syson's Hinterland in September and October 2006. The event includes the first public showings of the company's 2004 video collaboration with Manuel Vason, and video documentation of the 2005 performance, Dermographia. | aug 05 From August 3rd - August 9th, Richard Hancock & Traci Kelly will be joining 18 other artists, invited from across the UK, Mexico, Spain, Australia and Africa, as part of a workshop residency in Oaxaca City, Mexico, with Guillermo Gomez Pena and La Pocha Nostra. Richard Hancock will be undertaking a research trip to New York, to develop work for a new solo performance, to be premiered in the UK in September. |
