It is a source of great encouragement to me to know that intelligent and courageous young artists like Richard Hancock and Traci Kelly are continuing to push forward the possibilities of interdisciplinary live performance. The rigor and courage that constantly inform their practice sit squarely within the very best traditions of performance art while never allowing those traditions to discourage their own innovative instincts. Hancock and Kelly are among the most exciting new artists that it has been my privilege to encounter in the last decade.
